ONE OF A KIND - PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE ACTUAL PIECE YOU WILL RECEIVE
ARTEFACT ORIGIN: Seaham Beach, Durham, UK
MATERIALS: Rare two-tone blue and white 'multi' glass with textured sterling-silver frames and 20" chain.
DIMENSIONS: Diameter of the discs is approximately 2.6cm
HISTORY: This piece highlights an extremely rare 'multi' piece of sea glass, found on the famous shoreline of Seaham. The beaches there are world-renowned as one of the few places on Earth where end-of-day multi tone pieces can be found. Victorian and Edwardian glassworks that used to line the cliff tops there, would discard unused molten glass of all colours into the sea at the end of each day. Colours swirled together, creating jewel-like pieces of sea glass.
CRAFTSMANSHIP: The cobalt and White Sea glass has a fine-silver custom setting, that is suspended from three hand textured sterling-silver discs.
One-of-a-kind artefact, handcrafted from Seaham glass.
Silver under 7.78g (excluding detachable chains and stones) is not legally required to be hallmarked in the UK.
