ARTEFACT ORIGIN: Whitley Bay Beach, UK

MATERIALS: Pale seafoam-green sea glass, fine silver bezel, sterling-silver backplate and decoration, sterling-silver chain.

DIMENSIONS:  2.5cm at longest points, glass measures 2cm at longest points.

HISTORY: This pendant features a smooth, sea-tumbled shard of pale seafoam-green glass. This soft tone commonly originates from utilitarian bottles and jars, such as Victorian and Edwardian drinks, and household containers.

Decades in the North-East surf has smoothed and frosted the glass.

CRAFTSMANSHIP: This beautiful glass is set in a custom fine-silver bezel, and sits on a sterling-silver backplate. It is decorated by hand with sterling-silver beading and curved wire, like the gentle waves on a calm day at Whitley Bay beach.
