Crimson Gem Ring
ONE OF A KIND - PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE ACTUAL PIECE YOU WILL RECEIVE
ARTEFACT ORIGIN: Seaham Beach, UK
MATERIALS: Rare red Sea-glass, fine silver setting, sterling silver ring and decoration.
DIMENSIONS: UK size O (17.5mm internal diameter)
HISTORY: This ring holds an exceptionally rare piece of true Red Sea glass. Gold or copper compounds were used in the making of vintage glass, meaning it wasn't affordable for everyday items. High-end tableware, signal lights and vintage motor car lights, were usually all that was made with this material. Red Sea glass is very uncommon to find when sandlarking.
CRAFTSMANSHIP: This naturally geometric shard is custom set in a sleek sterling-silver band. Offset decorations have been added by hand to accentuate the angles of the glass.
An extremely rare piece.Silver under 7.78g (excluding detachable chains and stones) is not legally required to be hallmarked in the UK.
